Ronaldo Retired From Football Tonight

Brazilian striker who is now strengthening the Corinthians, Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, will announce retirement from football on Monday or Tuesday (15/02/2011) pm. In over 34 years, he had had enough to play ball.

The player nicknamed "The Phenomenon" state that an injury made him have to be realistic and should retire before his contract runs out. "My body feels the pain every play ball. In my head there is a desire to play. However, this body is not able to accept it. End these days I often groaned, even cried like a baby because of the injury," Ronaldo told an online magazine, Fantastico.

Ronaldo has defended the Corinthians in two years. He was successful in Europe while defending PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and AC Milan. He won the title twice Ballon d'Or in 1997 and 2002. He also became the second person to win the FIFA Player of the Year title three times, after Zinedine Zidane.

Ronaldo soccer became an instant phenomenon in the era of 1990's. He is very strong and quick, too accurate in making progress. Dribble past many opponents alone and then scored a goal, is one of his trademark. Hence he was nicknamed "The Phenomenon".

While still strengthen Barcelona, he was even judged as the best player in the conduct of individual games. He suffered two serious knee injury. First time defending Inter Milan and the second time with AC Milan.

Planned, at 00:40, Tuesday (15/2/2011) early morning hrs later he will hold a news conference. As a player, he will say goodbye to football.
